These are overwintered nucleus colonies, the queens for these colonies were made last summer and have emerged from their cell into this colony and have been an integral part ever since. They have overwintered as a cohesive unit and are strong bustling colony ready to explode with population. If managed properly you can expect a full crop of honey the first year from these bees.
